Warning: Not for the squemish!

So, I know this is totally not the girly type of post
that one typically puts on a blog, however, I am
super proud of Chase for taking his first deer. I am
so glad that he is into hunting and being outdoors
like his daddy. He eats, sleeps, and breathes hunting!

Chase was so excited to take his first deer (pretty
awesome for a 6 year old).

In one of his earlier poses he had his gun across the
deer because he said that is how the pros do it.

Daisy was very interested in what was going on too.

Jackson wanted to pose with his brother...he wasn't
so happy about getting a little blood on his leg though.

And he's hooked!

Cookies with Santa

Every Christmas at St. Luke UMC Preschool,
Santa comes to tell the children a story and enjoy
some cookies and milk with them too! I had already
committed myself to helping Chase's class that day
so Chad got to pull some daddy duty. All Jackson
wanted was a picture of him and daddy with Santa.

Such a wonderful look of excitement!

Here he comes...

I love how entranced Jackson is in this picture.

Here Santa is telling a story to the children.

Even Santa can't hold the attention spans of some
children!

Yummy!

And finally...he gets his wish of having his picture
made with Santa and his daddy!

Going to see Santa

Nina and Goddaddy took the boys to see Santa at
Bass Pro Shop. Who knew that on his "off time" Santa
lived right down the road from Nena and Goddaddy!

Gotta love the look of excitement on those faces,
or is that a look of fear on Jackson's face?

Chase is telling Santa that he wants that Arctic Cat
ATV that he just saw outside of Bass Pro for Christmas.
I had to tell Chase that Santa wouldn't bring children the
same thing two years in a row (he had just gotten an
ATV last Christmas).

The boys always have to take a look at
the fish when they go to Bass Pro.

You'll shoot your eye out!

Of course big brother is eager to help!
